Oh- and I have hair that is neither really thick nor really thin (if that helps).
Hair Choice #1- pretty short but sassy!
Hair Choice #2- Similar to #1 but more girly.
Hair Choice #3- Last of the shorter options. Similar to #1 but with a "Don't mess with me!" edge. Hair Choice #4- Medium length, choppy and sassy.
Hair Choice #5- because Reece ALWAYS has the best hair!
Hair Choice #6- smooth and business like- no sass.
Me a year or two ago- my hair is about 5" longer than that right now. And I'm fatter.
** ETA- Just found this forgotten style on a different pin board. Perhaps it's the best mix of all of the above?
Maybe THIS one but with the coloring of the first hairstyle (gotta go less blonde as I get older too).

I know I'm not looking at a dramatic change other than length but my spouse saw me at a dance, loved my "Flippy Hair" and decided on the spot I was super awesome (I added that last part). I'd like to keep the flippy-ness for him.

I say go for the bang, shorter and sassier. It will be a nice change for you. I just chopped off all my hair. It looks dreadful at this moment, but I am going to have to post on my new do. Can't wait to see yours.
i like choice #3...i feel like you could make it sassy, or do some other stuff with it. i am not a hair expert. my hair is always in a ponytail. but i think a new cut would be so fun and it always makes one feel like a new woman....be bold....hair grows back.
Call 801-588-0800 for the best hair cut ever. Alberto will give you the ROYAL treatment, but you pay the price.
All you need to tell him is what you have in mind and he will share with you what he will do.
Good luck.
This was a funny read for me because I went through this same thing (I am now 41 - yikes!). Anyway, I decided to keep my long hair for now, I just added some key layers. For your face shape I think cut 6 will look awesome on you. It is enough bangs without being totally annoying. Annoying for the person with the bangs that is - lol. Not to mention you could smooth it down or flip it out. Good luck, can't wait to see pictures!!!!
Hi Cynthia,
I really like the top two...but I'm always drawn to shorter haircuts. What is funny is that those two cuts would be considered "long" hair for me. I think you'll look great with whatever cut you choose. We gotta rock the 40's don't we? I'm 43 now and when I see pics of my Grandma when she was 40 and she looked 60...don't want that...LOL! Can't wait to see pics of what you decide to do.

I like number 1 and number 4. I would got with number 4 and after a while if you wanted to go shorter than go to number 1. Can't wait to see what you choose! I'm sure hubby will love what ever you pick.
cynthia, we already found out it's a girl! we are all super excited....though sometimes i fear she won't survive in our house full of boys :) now we just need to figure out a name (and a place to put her). :)
Those are all so cute! We have the same taste in hair. Make sure you post pics after.
I like #3, but I consider that long hair.
I love my short hair and occasionally I get lazy and think I will try to grow it out long, but I always go back to the short cut.
Those are all cute!
I think you are a go getter/sassy kind of girl, so go for something super sassy and fun!!
:-D
I think two or four. They look pretty quick and manageable, but the long bangs mean you can mix it up a little when you feel like it.
I like the Reece style, but I think you would look fine with any of the styles.
I really want short hair, but Steve never wants me to cut it, so I'm stuck wearing a ponytail.
I like 4. It is how I want my hair to look. But also like the style you have in your picture.
I like number four for you. I actually like them all and may just nick them from you ;) and FORTY is not the age to start setting your old person style, silly!
I like 1 and 3. Or Reese's haircut. Because she always looks awesome.
You know what?
Any cut you have would be the best cut for your cute face.
The pictures gave me some good ideas. I sorta love Sandra Bullocks hair.
Okay it seems we are going to go SHort! not just transition short but SHORT! If you go with the top two you will be cutting off about 12 to 14 inches... Doable, but shocking... Anyway!!!! You will be darling with your new do, no matter what... I really like the Reese...
I like #4, choppy and sassy. But really short could be fun too. It will grow back if you don't love it. But big change can be good for the soul!
